Erinโs journey to speech pathology began with a volunteer experience at a child care group in the UK, where she fell in love with supporting little people to grow and develop. Growing up in Mackay, Erin watched her classmates wait months to get the support they needed as parents struggled to support their children with services that were few and far between. This experience led to her passion for accessibility in healthcare.
In her spare time, Erin loves to bake, go to the ballet, and spend time with friends and family.
Erin completed her Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Queensland and prior to becoming a Pop Speechie, worked in a rural school. Erin has a passion for language and literacy in schools and working with clients of all ages to achieve their best.
Erin believes that communication is fundamental to our lives and everyone should be able to share their stories and be heard. Everyoneโs communication needs are unique, and so Erin understands itโs important to take into account every clientโs situation through the whole journey.
