Congratulations on completing your degree! You’ve done the hard yards, and deserve to be rewarded with a workplace that prioritises modern-day employee expectations (is that really too much to ask in 2023? We certainly don’t think so!).
Pop’s 12-month transformative graduate program provides unparalleled supervision and support combined with all the benefits of a work-from-home lifestyle.
Are you our next Pop Speechie?
You’ll be provided daily supervision for your first month and ongoing weekly supervision. This is alongside the decades of experience and advice you can tap into from our clinical supervisors and clinical leads as you navigate your new career and work-from-home environment.
You’ll be allocated a professional development budget to deepen your clinical knowledge in an area you love the most! Plus, connect with your Pop Family at our four additional paid personal development days every year, including flying to Queensland for a 2-day ‘Pop Academy’ retreat.
Enjoy the flexibility to structure your own schedule and select clients based on your skills and clinical interests. Pop has both paediatric and adult clients with a full spectrum of needs. Plus, your team leader and dedicated buddy will be there to support you with any clinical questions, or how to manage a complex client interaction.
SET UP
You’ll receive all the equipment you need to get started including Surface Laptop and a HUGE box of clinical resources and toys for your sessions.
You will hop on a Zoom with one of our amazing support crew team members prior to your first day so they can assist you with getting you all set up on our unique Pop systems.
1ST DAY
Your first day will commence with you meeting the head of the New Grad Program, your Team Leader and the rest of the team!
You will go through the basics and will be shown through your own, bespoke onboarding system that clearly outlines the tasks required of you over the next month so you know exactly what to expect.
(Don’t worry, we won’t bombard you on your first day!)
1ST MONTH
Finish off your comprehensive onboarding program to build your confidence in completing administrative tasks, planning sessions and conducting therapy through telehealth. You’ll meet with your team leader daily for 1:1 supervision.
2-6 MONTHS
You’ll be slowly increasing your client load across the first few months to ensure you have time to learn everything you need to succeed in your job! Your 1:1 supervision will be scheduled weekly, plus add in any other ad-hoc supervision sessions you need.
Be prepared for lots of social activities, which can be anything from paint-by-numbers with your team to one-on-one virtual lunch dates with your fellow Speechies.
You will have the opportunity to take part in many team meetings, in-services and internal professional development sessions to continue to expand your skill set (how cool!). You will have a mid-year check-in with your Team Leader to assess your progress and set goals for the second half of your New Grad Program.
7-12 MONTHS
You’ll unlock your professional development budget. Your team leader will work with you to set goals (and then achieve them!) for your professional development.
At this point, you will also unlock your ability to earn a bonus! Your hard work will be rewarded with financial benefits (Woo!)
By the end of the 12-month period, you will have attended at least one of our awesome in-person, culture club catch-ups. That means you will have had the chance to meet the team in person over a yummy dinner or fun event – all expenses paid!
FOREVER
You’re a full-blown Speechie! Decide your own bespoke career path at Pop. Whether you are interested in clinical development or moving into leadership, we focus on the ‘you’ of the future and work together to get you there
Let’s grow together!
We listen to you and consider your strengths and interests to support you on the pathway that meets your career goals. We offer opportunities in both clinical and operational leadership roles so you can continue your development and unlock a higher salary long after you’ve left university.
Get started with a competitive new graduate salary, which is complemented by our salary review system that aligns with your development as a clinician. Plus, receive an annual $500 work-from-home allowance, professional development budget, and (after 12 months) paid parental leave.
We are an industry leader in telehealth with over 5 years of experience in delivering telehealth (yes, even before COVID!). We have a HUGE amount of resources and knowledge that we will share with you, including completing assessment and therapy via telehealth and client engagement.
Bonuses are available to Speechies who exceed their clinical hours for the month. We believe in setting clear and achievable KPI’s, and when they are surpassed you deserve to be rewarded for the hard work that you’ve done.
Not only will you have your very own team leader (aka cheerleader), you’ll also have a buddy for peer supervision. Your buddy is there to answer all of those (seemingly) silly questions as they have been-there-done-that and are a great sounding board for you both personally and clinically.
No matter your preferred area of study, we have clients to match. We cover a wide range of needs, including Early Intervention, Speech Sound Disorders, Language and Literacy, Augmentative Communication, Social Communication, Swallowing, Voice, and Acquired Communication Disorders like aphasia.
Pop is an all-female team of 35+ Speech Pathologists (aka Speechies) and 10+ Support Crew who live all around Australia. We are creating ripples of impact every day with our holistic, telehealth Speech Pathology clinic. Our Executive Team are all Speechies, meaning all business decisions are made by staff who know what it means to be a Speechie and who truly value and understand the work you are doing.
