During Stephโs time as a crisis counsellor, she saw firsthand the impact that communication difficulties can have and fully appreciated how important it is to be able to communicate effectively. From there, her passion has only grown, particularly in supporting early language development, parent coaching, neurodiversity-affirming practice, and language and literacy.
Steph holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Master of Speech Pathology from the University of Melbourne and has been working as a speechie since 2022. She has experience in neurodiversity-affirming practice, supporting individuals who are blind or have low vision, and speech and language research.
Steph has also trained in Sounds Write, Colourful Semantics, Sensory Regulation training, play-based speech therapy, AAC assessment and intervention training, AAC for vision impairment, Auslan and Key Word Sign.
