Meet Erin, a dedicated Speech Pathologist based in Atherton, QLD. Erin graduated from CQU Rockhampton with a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) in 2021 and spent four years working as a rural generalist speech pathologist in a hospital setting. This experience allowed her to support a vast range of clients, from early childhood through to end-of-life care, including those with neurodegenerative conditions, stroke, and traumatic brain injuries.
Erin is particularly passionate about advocating for rural and remote communities and excels in the areas of adult swallowing, dementia care, and early childhood speech and language development. Her extensive clinical toolkit includes training in treating Childhood Apraxia of Speech, supporting social participation after stroke, and community Auslan. She has also completed the Understanding Dementia Certificate and specialised courses in play-based therapy for young children.
