Meet Lucy, our Clinical Lead for Engagement in Therapy blending extensive experience with a heart for early intervention and family connection.
Based in remote Western Australia, Lucy holds a Bachelor of Speech Pathology (Honours) from the University of Queensland and a Master of Child Play Therapy from Deakin University. With years of experience working as both a speech pathologist and mental health clinician in hospital and education settings across rural and remote Australia, Lucy brings a rare and powerful combination of clinical depth and therapeutic creativity to her role.
Lucy has a particular interest in early intervention, fluency, and strengthening the parent-child bond through responsive, affirming support. She is trained in a wide range of evidence-based programs including:
Circle of Security Parenting, Child-Parent Relationship Training, Hanen, Family Therapy, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy, Read3 Literacy, Key Word Sign, the Lidcombe Program, and affirming approaches to stuttering therapy.
She is also a Registered Play Therapist with the Australasian Pacific Play Therapy Association and a Certified Practising Counsellor with the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia.
